Having achieved a tremendous amount of success over the past four years in our Elite +20 Program, we have decided to expand our program . We will continue to follow the same curriculum that we have used over the past four years in developing 5 provincial team players. Our professional coaching staff will select 25 - 30 of the best players in Eastern Ontario out of a pool of players that attend the training camp. Players will be selected for this program based upon a five day training camp on the week of August 2 - 6 from 9:00am - 12:00pm. We have decided to expand the program for 2010/11 so that we have three different programs running at the same time. The tryouts will be held for the following age groups:
1998/99 boys
1998/99 girls
1997 - 95 girls
Any players who fall under one of these three age categories will be eligible to participate in the tryout camp. We will also accept under age players who possess the ability to participate at the level that we require.
Players who are selected to participate in this program are identified as players who possess the talent to become an elite soccer player to potentially play for the province, country, professionally or at a university in the next few years as they continue to develop their talent through properly structured training programs. This program will challenge players to raise their standard of play as they will compete and train with players who will be highly motivated to excel and become the best.
Our training program will be very demanding and highly educational for each player and will require each player to commit themselves fully to becoming the best player possible. Players will be exposed and introduced to a number of new training methods that will expand their knowledge of the principles of attacking and defending soccer.
Players who are selected to participate in the +20 program will be challenged on the field through a combination of technical and tactical training sessions. The program will run from mid September to the end of October outdoors . We will resume the indoor program from January to early April.
Phase 1: Mid September to end of October - outdoors
Phase 2: November to end of December - rest
Phase 3: January to early March - indoor technical training
Phase 4: early March to early April - indoor tactical training
At the end of Phase 4, the players will go back to their teams for their summer season.
Players will be asked to maintain a very high standard on and off the training field and be provided with a very in depth Home Training Program which will ensure the players are staying in top shape throughout the fall and winter program.
Following the 5 day training camp we will be selecting between 24 - 30 players to participate in the program for the fall and winter. |
