SANJEEV PARMAR grew up playing soccer in British Columbia. He played on British Columbia’s provincial teams from Under 15-20. His final two years of high school Sanjeev spent training at the National Training Center.
After high school, he attended Houghton College, NY on a full soccer scholarship. There he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. During his varsity career at Houghton, Sanjeev received honors as an All American, North East Region 1st team, and the Keystone Conference 1st team three out of four years. In his senior year Sanjeev received the outstanding Athletic Achievement Award from Houghton College.
Upon finishing college Sanjeev began to pursue a professional career in soccer. He was drafted by the Toronto Lynx in the A-League College draft and eventually signed with the Charlotte Eagles who he helped win the USL D3 National Championship. After the season, Sanjeev traveled to Africa with the Charlotte Eagles to play friendly matches against top teams in Ethiopia, Kenya and Rwanda. Sanjeev stayed behind for three months after the tour and helped coach in cooperation with the Ethiopian Football Federation with their youth national team prospects. He was also a pioneer in a Christian soccer ministry which provided soccer clinics for orphanages and street children in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. He joined the Ottawa Wizards upon his return from Africa and was selected to the CPSL all-star team in 2001. He is the winner of two Canadian Professional Soccer League Championships with the Wizards. In 2003, Sanjeev captained the Canadian Military National team in the Americas Cup versus America and Barbados.
Sanjeev helped run the 2003 training camp for the Ottawa Wizards and trained many of the Wizards players over the off-season. Sanjeev has worked with different university programs in Canada and America as a consultant in speed, strength and conditioning with teams such as the University College of Cape Breton soccer teams, Buffalo State University women’s soccer and lacrosse teams, University of Ottawa women's hockey and rugby teams and is presently a coaching consultant to his Alma Mater Houghton College. Sanjeev was the assistant coach for the University of Ottawa women’s soccer team from 2002 - 2007 and helped lead the team to two silver and one bronze medal at the Canadian Interuniversity Sport National Championships in 2003, 05 and 06. In the summer of 2007, Sanjeev was the assistant coach of the 7th ranked team in the world, the Ottawa Fury W-League team where he was able to gain invaluable experience working with international players from around the world.
In August, 2008, Sanjeev spent seven days at the YFC Academy in Punjab, India coaching their youth teams along with running coaching clinics. During the one week training camp, Sanjeev was able to provide individual training for the starting center back of the Indian National Team Anwar Ali who was originally from the YFC Academy. As of late September 2008, Sanjeev decided to take on another challenge by joining the women's soccer coaching staff at the University of Carleton with the ambition of helping Carleton qualify for their CIS national championship.
Sanjeev passed his CSA A License in the summer of 2007 and became one of the youngest coaches in the country to have achieved the highest coaching level for soccer in Canada. Sanjeev has been an Ontario Soccer Association Staff Coach / Course Conductor since 2003 and will continue to run more coaching licenses this year. He is also certified with his NCCP Level II. Sanjeev has added to his academic credentials by completing his Masters Degree in Human Kinetics at the University of Ottawa in December 2004. Presently, Sanjeev is a part time professor at the University of Ottawa in the Human Kinetics department. |

KEVIN NELSON former professional player who has proudly represented Trinidad and Tobabgo from u14 to the Olympic Team and has recently retired from the professional game in the summer of 2008. Kevin has played in international friendlies as a member of the Tobago senior team againstthe likes of premiership powerhouse Newcastle United, the Mexican National and Olympic Team, and English Div 1 Sheffield. Kevin is a product of the renowned St. Clair Football School, recruited at age 9; under the tutelage and nurturing of former Trinidad & Tobago National Senior team's head coach Bertille St. Clair. As a youth national team player, Nelson was able to refine his goal scoring skills with San Juan Jabloteh in Trinidad before signing on with Caracas FC in Venezuela, After a strong showing in the Venezuelan League, Nelson was provided the opportunity to try his luck in Europe along side a few major clubs in Germany and Belgium before signing with the Ottawa Wizards in the CPSL.
Highlighted by his performance in 2001 with the Ottawa Wizards where he collected MVP, Rookie of the Year and League Leading Scorer, Kevin was invited to Japan in January 2002 for a tryout with Shimitsu S-Pulse of the J-League. In his two week stay he participated in a friendly match with the reserve team and registered 2 goals. Upon finishing up his final season with the Wizards, Kevin spent some quality time in Australia, Trinidad and Vietnam before retiring and resettling back in Ottawa.
Kevin is now fully commiting himself to becoming a top level youth coach by giving back to the game he loves by coaching for Parmar Sports Training Inc. Kevin's successfull playing career has helped him gain an abundance of knowledge from world class coaches around the globe which he is now providing to the youth of Ottawa. Kevin states, "my two passions in life are football and children and I want to give the next generation of leaders the life skills and arsenal to become succesfull citizens. I want to see kids develop a passion and love for the game like I did when I was a child. The beautiful game of football allowed me to experience life from many different perspectives and has been the main part of my personal development as a human being. I want to be able to share all my knowledge that I've been blessed with during my stay in the many countries I've lived in and the great people that I've met". |

KRISTINA KISS was 19 years old when she won her first cap with Canada's senior team on 12 March 2000 at the Algarve Cup (a 0:4 loss to China)... she was one of five players that made her debut in coach Even Pellerud's first match with Canada's senior team... scored in her fifth game with Canada on 31 May 2000 (a 2:1 win over New Zealand)... finished fourth with Canada at the 2000 CONCACAF Gold Cup... finished second with Canada at the 2002 CONCACAF Gold Cup... won a silver medal with Canada at the XIV Pan American Games Santo Domingo 2003 (scored Canada's tying goal lost 1:2 a.e.t. to Brasil in the final)... finished fourth with Canada at the FIFA Women's World Cup USA 2003... finished second with Canada at the 2006 CONCACAF Gold Cup (Canada lost 1:2 to the United States in the final)... won a bronze medal with Canada at the XV Pan American Games Rio 2007... represented Canada at the FIFA Women's World Cup China 2007... finished second with Canada at the 2008 CONCACAF Women's Olympic Qualification Tournament... finished second with Canada at the 2008 CONCACAF Women's Olympic Qualification Tournament (Canada qualified for the Summer Olympics)... reached the quarter-final with Canada at the 2008 Women's Olympic Football Tournament... Kristina won a gold medal with Nepean United Spirit at the 1998 National Championships Senior Women's Club Championship in Fredericton, NB (UMBRO Jubilee Trophy)...
Kristina Kiss was named the top Ottawa soccer player for the 2008 season. Kiss was recognized at the annual Ottawa Sports Awards, claiming the Athlete of the Year prize in the sport of soccer.
Kristina was invited to join the u20 Women's National Team as a guest coach in July of 2009. Kristina is now dedicating her time to becoming a professional coach and will be participating in the CSA National B License course during the fall of 2009. She understands her position as a role model to the female players in the Ottawa community and is committed to developing high level elite players who may one day follow in her footsteps on the Canadian National Team.

WENDY DONALDSON is a graduate from the University of Ottawa Gee Gees Women's soccer program. She was voted by her teammates and coaches as the Captain after her first year and remained the skipper for the rest of her university career. In her rookie year, Wendy won herself a spot as a starting defender and helped the Ottawa Gee Gees to becoming the best team in Ontario by capturing the 2003 OUA Gold medal along with a Silver medal at the CIS National Finals. In the winter of 2003/04 Wendy was selected to the QSSF All-Star Team (Quebec University Indoor League) and once again lead the Gee Gees to a Silver medal. In 2005, Wendy had her best season with the university team as she captained the Gee Gees to an overall National #1 ranking and to their second CIS National Championships Silver medal in three years. Wendy was selected to the National Championships All Star team, OUA Final Four All Star team, as well as being selected as an OUA second team All Star. In 2006, Wendy continued to lead the way for the Gee Gees on and off the field as she was asked to take control of the midfield due to her creativity and willingness to take players on. Wendy helped the Gee Gees win the OUA Championship and a bronze medal at the 2006 CIS National Championships. She was selected as an OUA first team All Star as a left full back. In her final season as a Gee Gee player, Wendy was selected to play for Canada at the World University Games in China.
As a youth player Wendy had a successful career with the South Nepean United Club as she led her team to a Under 19 Ontario Provincial Cup Championship in 2001. This lead to another successful campaign the following year with the women's South Nepean United team who finshed second in the province in 2002.
Wendy has completed her degree in Psychology at the University of Ottawa and plans on attending Graduate School to specialize in Sports Psychology. Wendy is aspiring to have a successful coaching career at the highest level. |

ERIK LEFEBVRE is one of the most talented goalkeepers in Canada and is now entering his second year as a professional goalkeeper with the Charlotte Eagles after completing an extremely successful college career. Erik was offered a lucrative scholarship to attend Sanjeev Parmar's alma mater, Houghton College in Western NY in 2004. Erik caught the attention of Houghton College coach, Matt Webb as well as many other Universities in Canada and the U.S. with his phenomenal performance at the Canadian Men's National Finals in Prince Edward Island with the Ottawa Royals in 2004. Over the winter of 2004/05 Erik captured two MVP awards in indoor tournaments at McGill University and Carleton University.
In 2003 he trained with the Ottawa Wizards of the Canadian Professional Soccer League and earned a tryout with ESTAC Football Club youth team in Troyes, France. He has received additional training at the Elite 300 Soccer Academy, Bryst International Institute, and Golden Gloves Academy.
Erik Started all 18 games as a freshmen (2005); selected All-AMC North Division, First Team and Freshman of the Year; allowed 34 goals for a 1.91 GAA with 98 saves and four shutouts... Started 17 games as a sophomore; selected NSCAA NAIA All-American, Second Team and All-AMC North, First Team; allowed 22 goals recording a 1.32 GAA in 1499 minutes; had six shutouts...Played every minute (1730) last season in 18 games; gave up 18 goals for a 0.94 GAA; made 98 save |

TANIA SINGFIELD is the director and head coach of the Golden Gloves
Goalkeeper Academy. Tania is a former Canadian National Team World Cup Goalkeeper. Her Academy has trained and worked with all levels of goalkeeping including the likes of Erin McLeod (current Canadian National Team player and Olympic games 2008), Keenan Gracy (current Wigan Athletic “reserve GK” in the English Premier League) and our own local GK, Rachelle Beanlands who is currently on the U-17 National Team. Tania is constantly teaching the art of goalkeeping to the interest of hundreds of local and nation wide students who want to learn, develop and perfect his/her technical-tactical habits needed to play this specialized position.

CRAIG TAYLOR, in his 28th year coaching, gains his expertise from Track and Field. His Need for Speed programs have increased athlete's performances in many sports including; football, soccer, rugby, baseball, hockey, bobsleigh, skeleton, luge, water-ski, basketball, figure skating, speed skating, volleyball, tennis, lacrosse, alpine and cross country skiing. A Certified National Sprint Coach, Taylor has trained national and international level (Olympic) athletes for 20 years. A few of his athletes include the likes of former 100 meter world record holder Donovan Bailey, Glenroy Gilbert (part of 4x100 meter relay team world record), Damon Allen (Toronto Argonauts, CFL), Adrien Aucoin (NHL), Morgan Kane (NFL), and various teams including the Bahrain sprint/hurdle national team and Norwegian Olympic Bobsled team |
